Tom Pickett is currently based on O’ahu,
Hawaii, having relocated here after enjoying many assignments
in the islands and falling in love with Hawaii.He received a
Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University
Of Pittsburgh and immediately began a career in photo
journalism, fashion, wedding and commercial photography.
Assignments with Vogue and Elle magazines in
Europe and Macy’s New York were among his early
achievements. From there he moved on to become a staff
photographer for Apple Computer to help launch the
Macintosh in January of 1984. A contract with National
Geographic to capture the images of the rain forests in
Costa Rica and Brazil was completed in the late eighties and
early nineties. He has photographed nearly 500 weddings from
his studios located in Atlanta, GA, Los Gatos, CA, Fresno, CA
and now O’ahu, Hawaii. |
