Big Island of Hawaii Wedding Locations

The Big Island of Hawaii offers plenty of venues for your wedding.

From Beach, to Hotel Resorts, to Beautiful Churches, Hawaii provides the perfect setting for your nuptials.

Just remember that Hawaii is called the "Big Island" for a reason. Be sure to choose a location near where you are staying.

Also remember that because of the distances involved not all vendors are available in ALL wedding locations.

"Old Airport"
The "Old Airport Beach Park" is the closest and nicest ocean front beach wedding area near the town of Kona.  Just a few minutes from Alii Drive take Kuakini Highway North to the beach park. Drive to the end and see the beautiful sandy cove with trees, palms and great ocean vistas. SEE MORE PICTURES

Hualalai                                                                                          Located within the "Four Seasons" resort area. It will be necessary for you to check in at the guarded gate and get a permit for your car. Walk down the beautiful path past natural coastal ponds and other "Hawaiiana" to this lovely beach. Bathrooms, easy parking and a 100 yard walk lead you to your romantic beach wedding site. Usually great sunsets and weather at this location. AKA Kukio Beach. Anaehoomalu Bay
Wailea Beach Park is located between the Grand Wailea and the Four Seasons. The park is a grassy knoll overlooking a very popular resort beach. Evening weddings are fine. Both the beach and the grassy knoll are excellent ceremony locations. Has public bathrooms. Good parking. AKA "A" Bay. SEE MORE PICTURES

Waikoloa
Several great resorts at Waikoloa offer several great wedding sites nearby. This spot is hardly used by anybody. The parking is located the first left hand turn just before the "Waikoloa Hilton" and is limited. This spot is good for privacy but the beach is more coral than sand. SEE MORE PICTURES

The Small Boat Harbor
The Kona Small Boat Harbor is home to the most famous big game fishing tournament. A busy harbor has a hidden gem to the north. After turning into the Harbor entrance, make your first right hand turn and go as far north as possible. Park in the dirt parking lot and walk 50 yards to the shore. SEE MORE PICTURES
Kona Boat Harbor Wedding Location
Hapuna
Hapuna beach is very popular and next to the "Prince" Resort. About 45 minutes North of Kona this is a lovely wedding spot early in the morning or close to sunset. Otherwise it is too busy and one should consider "Puako" beach a few minutes south. SEE MORE PICTURES
